ABOUT US

Brookline Teen Outreach (BTO) was established because of a pressing need to do more for the youth of South Pittsburgh. During 10 years of serving teens in schools and youth group programming, Caitlin and Diana identified a clear plan to address student basic, social, emotional, educational, and resource needs; and BTO was born. Since opening our doors in 2016, we have made significant impacts on our students and their families. In our programming, we prioritize connecting with students and helping them develop as individuals through every activity, group, and experience.

Brookline Teen Outreach offers a safe and engaging environment for teens in the Pittsburgh area. Our afterschool programming focuses on providing educational and recreational opportunities for teenagers, helping them grow academically and socially. With a dedicated team of mentors and educators, we create a positive impact on the lives of the youth in our community.

Our programs are designed to cater to the diverse interests and needs of teenagers, offering a variety of activities such as tutoring, arts and crafts, sports, and leadership development. Through these initiatives, we foster a sense of belonging and empowerment among the teens, encouraging them to reach their full potential and become active members of society. By providing a supportive and inclusive environment, Brookline Teen Outreach inspires confidence and resilience in the youth we serve.

Brookline Teen Outreach places a strong emphasis on building strong relationships with the teens who participate in programming. By creating a supportive and nurturing environment, trust and open lines of communication are established with the teenagers. This approach helps in addressing the individual needs of each participant and tailoring the support and guidance provided to help them flourish both academically and personally. Through these connections, Brookline Teen Outreach makes meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of the teens in the Pittsburgh community, fostering a sense of community and belonging that extends beyond the afterschool programs.

The commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment for teenagers is evident in the various community partnerships that Brookline Teen Outreach has established. By collaborating with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers, the afterschool programs are enriched with additional resources and opportunities for the teens. These partnerships not only broaden the horizons of the participants but also reinforce the sense of community and interconnectedness that is central to Brookline Teen Outreach’s mission. Through these collective efforts, the organization continues to expand its impact and reach, empowering more teenagers in Pittsburgh to thrive and succeed.
