Marlo Perry
Board Member
Marlo A. Perry, Ph.D., is a Research Associate Professor and the Director of Research and Evaluation for the Child Welfare Education and Research Programs in the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work. She earned her Ph.D. in School, Community, and Clinical Child Psychology and her M.S.Ed. in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania. Marlo is passionate about conducting large-scale, system-wide applied research that can inform policy and practice in order to benefit vulnerable children and families. Much of her work focuses on training and supporting Pennsylvania’s child welfare workforce, and she has particular interests in mindfulness and other emotional intelligence competencies. In addition to serving on the Board of Brookline Teen Outreach, Marlo serves on the Executive Advisory Council for the National Staff Development and Training Association (NSDTA) and on the Steering Committee for the Human Services Workforce Development Evaluation Symposium. In her spare time, Marlo enjoys puttering in the kitchen, running in Frick Park, growing food in her backyard, and engaging in a multitude of creative pursuits; she lives in the Lincoln Place neighborhood with her spouse, Lisa, and their two spoiled cats.
