Sam Siskind
Board Member
Sam is the librarian at Rodef Shalom Congregation, a position he has held since 2017, having attained a Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. He holds library classes for preschool and Sunday School students each week as well as leads and coordinates various programs within the library for children as well as adults. These programs include book clubs, author visits, as well as book readings for children in the community. Sam is also a member of the Association of Jewish Libraries and attends their annual conference each summer. Sam is also a passionate Classical musician and attained a Bachelor’s degree in music, also from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, Sam is also committed to the well-being of individuals with special needs and serves as a private caregiver for a young man with cerebral palsy.
