INTERNSHIPS
We welcome both bachelor’s and master’s level intern applications from students currently enrolled in counseling, social work, education, psychology, and sociology programs. Internships can be completed at BTO for credit or non-credit hours. In our program, all interns receive onboarding training, supervision, opportunities to attend workshops and conferences, continued monthly professional development on an array of topics, constructive feedback sessions, and daily check ins to gauge learning.
Undergraduate and graduate interns work to plan, facilitate, and evaluate teen center programs and community initiatives through a therapeutic lens. Graduate counseling level interns also work with counselors at Compassionate Counseling to provide free counseling services to the community.
Internship applications are accepted during the following times only:
- Summer internship – between January 1 – April 1
- Fall internship – between May 1 – July 1
- Spring internship – between August 1 – November 1
Graduate-level students applying for more than one semester should apply for an internship for the first semester of fieldwork.
If you are interested in an internship role at BTO, and being an integral part of growing and contributing to our space, please submit an application below.
